The Post Is Late Again.

Well, that's Christmas and New Year over again. Let's get back to the real world.

It was known from 2010 that the Post Office's Fujitsu central accounting software, installed in the late 1990s, was as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.

Around 3,500 sub-postmasters and mistresses were accused of stealing from the Post Office and 700 were prosecuted. The bogus allegations led to criminal records for hundreds of the accused and sentences ranging from community service and being made to wear electronic tags to jail. Some not charged were made to pay back money they didn't steal from their own funds and many went bankrupt.

The mental stress on all those wrongly accused was huge and has been linked to four suicides.

In 2019, the High Court overturned the convictions of a group of sub-postPEOPLE (Oh God, take me now!) and an appeal by the Post Office was thrown out two years later. Now, 14 YEARS after the original scandal broke and THREE YEARS after it was finally confirmed by the courts, our useless, desperate Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has branded the affair "an appalling miscarriage of justice" and said those convicted "COULD" be exonerated.

Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey, at the time Minister for the Post Office under the traiterous coalition government, refused to see those convicted who were campaigning for an investigation. He now claims he wasn't aware of the full details of the scandal. Well, if he wasn't, who the Hell was?

Not to be outdone in the hypocrisy stakes, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer jumped on the bandwagon to say that the convictions should be looked at en-masse - this from someone who at the time was Director of the Crown Prosecution Service and could have stopped the prosecutions at any time.

These three cretins are all outraged NOW and vowing action NOW 14 years after the scandal came to light. Where the fuck were you three when you were needed? I'll tell you why they've suddenly decided to speak out:

1. A TV drama which highlighted the whole tragic story and the suffering of the victims has only recently been screened and proved a big hit with viewers and the Press.

2. There's a General Election round the corner and they are all desperate to grovel to the public in the hope of getting its vote and clinging onto or gaining power - fuck principles!

Now, one million people have signed a petition calling for former Post Office chief Paula Vennells to be stripped of the CBE awarded to her in the midst of this outrage under the premiership of Boris Johnson - who else?!

There SHOULD be prosecutions over this whole affair. How about?:

1. Paula Vennells.

2. Fujitsu.

3. Sir Keir Starmer.

4. Sir Ed Davey.

5. Boris Johnson.

Nah! I sense the nearing sound of a can being kicked down the road. Remember the P&O scandal in 2022 in which the company illegally sacked 800 workers? The Government vowed action then. Result? Fuck all!

Remember greedy barrowboy SIR Phillip Green. Was he stripped of his knighthood when Arcadia collapsed with 11,000 job losses and a £571 million hole in the pension pot? Was he bollocks!

Did serial liar and convicted criminal Sir Jeffrey Archer have his title taken away? You guessed it.

Then there's lying Baroness Michelle Mone who was involved in the supply of useless PPE equipment which helped her make £29 million. Has she lost her key to the House of Lords? Nope.

Sports Direct and Mike Ashley,  Carillion and Richard Howson, the HBOS bosses? The list is long.....VERY LONG. You, on the other hand, drop a fag end then it's no enoblement and an on-the-spot fine.
